The Terminology of XGW

Responding to recent discussion concerning the distinguishing factors that might be made between William Lind’s Generations of Modern Warfare theory (GMW) and its successor theory, xGW, Dan Abbott suggests an abandonment of the use of the term “generation” for “G”, substituting instead “grade.”  This change in terminology would better reflect how “G” is used within xGW theory.

Subsequent discussion under the blog posts leads to the consideration of “gradient” as a substitute for “generation.”
